JCVA offers specialized Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) consultancy services designed to help construction projects comply with local regulations and international best practices. Our EHS experts develop tailored safety plans, conduct risk assessments, and provide ongoing monitoring to foster safe and sustainable work environments.
An Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) consultant helps ensure that a construction project complies with applicable safety, health, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Services may include EHS compliance assessment, hazard identification and risk assessment, safety inspections and audits, review of safety plans and procedures, incident investigation, emergency preparedness, contractor safety management, environmental compliance, training, and corrective-action monitoring. The consultant provides technical guidance and oversight, while the project management team and contractors remain responsible for implementing and enforcing site controls.
Construction projects must comply with applicable Philippine occupational safety and health laws and regulations, particularly Republic Act No. 11058, DOLE Department Order No. 252, Series of 2025 (the revised implementing rules of RA 11058), and the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS). Projects must also comply with applicable Construction Safety and Health Program (CSHP) requirements, building and fire safety regulations, environmental laws, and other national and local requirements, depending on the project’s scope, workforce, hazards, location, and activities.
Yes. JCVA can provide safety officers subject to project requirements, availability, and applicable regulatory competency requirements. JCVA can provide or arrange qualified safety personnel to support construction projects, including site safety supervision, inspections, safety meetings/toolbox meetings, hazard identification and risk assessment, incident reporting and investigation, safety documentation, and regulatory compliance monitoring. The required number and qualification of Safety Officers should be determined based on the project’s workforce, risk classification, activities, and applicable DOLE requirements, including DO 252-25.
A construction safety audit is a systematic evaluation of a project’s safety management system and site practices against applicable laws, project requirements and safety procedures. It typically covers site conditions, PPE, permits, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Control (HIRAC), job hazard analyses, work at height, electrical safety, excavation, lifting, emergency preparedness, contractor compliance, records and CSHP implementation. Frequency should be risk-based: high-risk projects need periodic audits throughout construction, with more frequent inspections for critical activities.
